Hello to everyone that LOVES to EAT,thats All of US! I am WaGenia Portier and everyone calls me Yhai! Born in Clarksdale,Ms,my mother played the most important role in the making of my book "A Southern Girls Menu".Growing up my mom and great grandma cooked often, thats pretty traditional for a Southern family but my mother also keep a tiny booklet of all her recipes. (See where I got the idea) Now I create dishes through out the year but to be honest, the Holidays are an extra treat where I get to try new and exciting dishes and add to the traditional ones. Growing up cooking and baking was one of my fondest memories of mama Ruby and great grannie Martha. Now I am pleased to bring to you traditional Southern dishes like peach cobbler as well as non-traditional dishes like Beef and Spinach Manicotti inside of "A Southern Girls Menu".
“I'm pleasantly surprised at the carmelizing of the peaches in the peach cobbler in A Southern Girls Menu, crust was very flaky-I enjoyed- Ann P.(Food Connoiseur).”
